Though often referred to as "The Godfather of Hipsterdom" McInnes is now an old, ugly man who looks like Wilfred Brimley on a hunger strike.
He started Vice in 1994 but when it became one of the biggest media companies in the world, the sales team decided he was a liability and bought him out.
He co-founded many other companies since then including the ad agency Rooster NY which was sold to a much larger company and then shut down shortly after.
McInnes continues to write regular columns on Takimag.com, Truth Revolt, and The Federalist. He also publishes books such as The Death of Cool and creates films such as How to be a Man.
Ezra Levant describes him as "the craziest man he knows."
